USATrace (usatrace.com) is a people-search site operated by QuickLocate LLC that does not store personal data itself — it displays preview records sourced from PeopleFinders and other data brokers. Because USATrace is a front-end layer, removal requires two steps: blocking your profile on USATrace and opting out from the underlying source (PeopleFinders).

⏱ Time: 10 min
🎯 Difficulty: Medium
📋 Method: Profile block on USATrace + opt out from PeopleFinders
⏳ Processing: USATrace block up to 48 hours; PeopleFinders varies
📂 Category: Court / Property / Records

WHY TWO STEPS ARE NEEDED

USATrace does not hold your data — blocking your profile on their site only removes the preview. Your information will remain at PeopleFinders (the data source) and can reappear on USATrace or other aggregator sites that use PeopleFinders data if you don't also opt out at the source.

STEP 1 — BLOCK YOUR PROFILE ON USATRACE

  1. Go to the privacy page
    Visit usatrace.com/your-privacy/

  2. Search for your profile
Enter your first name, last name, and optionally city and state. Click Search.

  3. Find your listing
Review the results and locate the profile that matches you.

  4. Request a profile block
Click the block button next to your listing to submit a block request.

  5. Wait up to 48 hours
USATrace notes that changes may take up to 48 hours to reflect across all servers.

STEP 2 — OPT OUT FROM PEOPLEFINDERS

Since USATrace is powered by PeopleFinders, opting out there removes your data at the source and prevents it from reappearing on USATrace and other sites using the same feed. See the PeopleFinders Removal guide for step-by-step instructions.

TIPS

  • USATrace only processes one block request per person per name/profile combination.

  • Blocking on USATrace does not affect the underlying record at PeopleFinders or other data broker sources — always complete Step 2.

  • For questions, contact USATrace at [email protected] or call (848) 305-1340.

  • USATrace is not a Consumer Reporting Agency and may not be used for employment, credit, or tenant screening decisions.
