Correction: Skip the USA Public Data Search Removal Guide
We recently shared a removal guide for USA Public Data Search (usa-official.com). That guide is no longer valid.
The opt-out link (usa-official.com/optout) does not resolve, and the removal steps we listed no longer apply to this broker. If you tried to follow it, nothing was wrong on your end. If you did not, there is nothing you need to do here.
We would rather flag this the moment we catch it than leave a dead link sitting in your inbox. Sending you to an opt-out that does not work is worse than saying nothing.
What to do instead
If you were working through data-broker removals, put that five minutes toward one that still works: FastBackgroundCheck.com. It publishes the same kind of profile, name, address, and relatives, and its free opt-out is live.
Use an email alias, not your real address (DuckDuckGo Email Protection, Apple Hide My Email, and Firefox Relay all issue free ones)
Enter your name and alias email, complete the captcha, and click the link they email you
Allow about three days
One honest caveat from their own notice: this suppresses publicly available records as a courtesy, not a true deletion, and the data can reappear. Re-check every few months.
