REMOVAL STEPS

  1. Open LinkedIn Privacy Settings
Go to linkedin.com/psettings → Privacy tab.

  2. Limit profile visibility
Under 'Who can see your email address' — set to Connections only. Under 'Who can see your connections' — set to Only you.

  3. Disable profile scraping signals
Under 'Data Privacy' → 'Profile visibility off LinkedIn' — toggle off to prevent third-party sites from indexing your profile.

  4. Limit contact info exposure
Remove your phone number from your profile if present. Keep only a professional email if needed.

  5. Control messaging
Under 'Communications' → 'Who can send you invitations' — set to 'Only people who know your email or appear in your imported contacts' to reduce cold outreach.

  6. Review your public profile
Click 'Edit public profile & URL' to see exactly what non-connections can see. Disable sections you don't want public.

TIPS

  • Your LinkedIn URL and name will always be somewhat findable — focus on limiting what details appear.

  • Removing your school's graduation year reduces age estimation by brokers.

  • Also opt out of LinkedIn's data sharing with third parties under Settings → Data Privacy → 'How LinkedIn uses your data'.
