REMOVAL STEPS

  1. Go to the opt-out page
    Visit peoplewhiz.com/optout

  2. Search for your record
    Enter your name and state to locate your listing.

  3. Select your record
    Find the correct listing and select it to initiate removal.

  4. Check your email and click the confirmation link
    You will receive a confirmation email from PeopleWhiz. Click the "Confirm Opt-out" link inside. Your listing is removed immediately upon clicking.

  5. ID verification (if requested)
    The confirmation email may note that a valid form of identification is required. If so, fax or mail a copy of your ID to PeopleWhiz. Once received, they will finalize the request — this can take up to 7 business days. The initial removal from search results happens before this step.

  6. Verify removal
    Clear your browser cache, cookies, and history, then search your name on PeopleWhiz. Clearing cache is important — cached data from before your opt-out may make it appear your listing is still there.

TIPS

  • Removal is completely free — PeopleWhiz does not charge for opt-outs.

  • Do not reply to the confirmation email — their system states replies are not monitored.

  • If your listing reappears after removal, this typically happens when a data provider acquires a new public record or a variant listing (different middle name, old address) surfaces under your name.   • Removing your records from PeopleWhiz does not affect the underlying public records themselves — only your appearance in their search results.
