What it is

Results About You is a Google tool that monitors Search for pages containing your personal information — home address, phone number, or email address — and lets you request their removal from Google's index. It's built into Google accounts and available on both desktop and mobile.

The tool does not remove your data from the underlying websites. It removes those pages from Google Search results, which reduces how easily that information is found.

How to use it

Go to myaccount.google.com/results-about-you and sign in. Enter the personal information you want to monitor: your home address, phone numbers, and email addresses. Google scans its search index for pages that display that information.

When matches are found, Results About You shows you the URLs and lets you submit a removal request for each one with a single click. Google reviews requests and sends a decision by email — typically within a few days.

You can also set up automatic monitoring: Google will notify you when new results containing your information appear, so you don't have to check manually.

What it covers and doesn't

The tool focuses on contact information — address, phone, email. It does not cover all personal data types, and it does not apply to Google Images, Google Maps, or data stored in other Google products.

Removal from search results is not permanent. If the underlying page is updated or re-indexed, it may reappear. The monitoring feature helps catch this when it happens.

Mobile access

The tool is also accessible through the Google app on iOS and Android under your account's Privacy & Security settings.
